Privacy Policy

1.Who we are
Bladium is operated by BeastChemist. For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact us at teambeastchemist@gmail.com. This email address also serves as the point of contact for grievances relating to your personal data.
2.Information we collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Usage and learning data. The questions you attempt, your answers, scores, accuracy, time taken, ratings, XP, streaks, rank, duel and contest results, and other activity you generate on the Service.
- Preferences and cosmetics. Settings you choose, such as an equipped theme, and other in-app preferences.
- Technical and log data. IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP, pages viewed, and timestamps — collected automatically to keep the Service secure and working.
- Communications. The contents of any message you send us (for example, a support email).
We do not ask for, and you should never send us, your financial credentials, card numbers or government identifiers.
3.How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
- To provide the Service — grade your attempts, compute ratings and XP, run duels and contests, and show leaderboards.
- To measure your progress and generate analytics and insights for you.
- To keep the Service secure, detect and prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To respond to your requests and communicate service-related notices.
- To improve the Service and develop new features.
- To comply with applicable law.
4.Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (given when you create an account and use the Service), to perform our contract with you (to deliver the Service you request), to pursue our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time by closing your account (see “Your rights”); withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
5.How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run Bladium, and only as needed to operate it:
- Google — for sign-in (authentication).
- Supabase — our authentication and database provider, which stores your account and learning data on our behalf.
- Vercel — our hosting and content-delivery provider.
- Payment processors — if and when you purchase a paid plan, a third-party payment gateway processes the transaction; we do not store your full card or bank details.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or us. If the Service is involved in a merger or transfer of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6.Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use them for third-party advertising. You can clear or block them in your browser, but the Service may not function correctly without the ones required for sign-in.
7.Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain some of it to comply with law, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
8.Security
We rely on reputable providers (Supabase, Vercel) and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will act and notify you as required by law.
9.Children and students
Bladium is intended for exam aspirants, some of whom may be under 18. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect more data than is needed to provide the Service. A parent or guardian may contact us at teambeastchemist@gmail.com to review, correct or delete their child’s data.
10.Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, or to export it. To exercise any of these rights, email teambeastchemist@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
11.Data location and transfers
Your data is stored and processed on infrastructure operated by our providers, which may be located outside your country. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on our providers’ safeguards to protect it to a standard consistent with this policy.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13.Contact us
For any question about this policy or your data, contact BeastChemist at teambeastchemist@gmail.com.
